By its very nature, Arts Alive! is a creative group comprised of folks from all walks of life having varied levels of interest in or experience with a multitude of different artistic disciplines. Getting involved with a group like this provides you with a creative outlet for community involvement.
Reasons to get involved:
-To help shed light on the financial impact that the arts provide our region
-To help artists maintain their livelihood by supporting their needs through volunteerism
-To promote the excellence of our regional artists and help drive dollars their way through show attendance or purchase of their products
-To help distinguish our region as a draw for tourism by promoting arts and culture events and activities within New Hampshire and beyond its borders
How to get involved:
- Attend the plenary meetings held once a quarter
- Give voice to your ideas for advancing arts and culture in the Monadnock Region
- Identify areas of concern and your thoughts on how Arts Alive! could help
- Express your interest in helping the organization meet its goals
- Join a committee
- Facilities Task Force
- Communications/Website
- Cultural Master Plan
- Multi-Arts Center
- Become a funder
- Support administration for Arts Alive!
- Support an initiative of Arts Alive!
- Support an Arts Alive! event
- Volunteer your time
- Help spread the word about the positive economic impact of arts and culture
- Help the office coordinator
The vision for the future includes many initiatives including the identification of gathering places for artists, holding “Artists After Hours” events, finding affordable living space for artists, and sponsoring a regional arts festival.
