Due to the popularity of the film "Hard Travelin"
which documents the career of Woody Guthrie by his son Arlo the Mariposa Museum
is offering a second showing on Friday August 10 at 7pm.
Woodrow Wilson Guthrie's career
inspired Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Judy Collins and a host of other folk
luminaries, who pay tribute to Woody in this revealing film. Woody Guthrie's
life was truly "Hard Travelin'" but he lived it to the fullest and
his songs remain a gift to the world. This documentary also shares his mastery
and prolific creative genius with songs sung by extraordinary voices, appealing
to musicians, poets and composers of all ages.
The
film is free and open to the public with thanks to the generosity of Mermaid
Media.
